Grant History
Grants accelerate access to funds unavailable to the disadvantaged through conventional methods and unlock the economic growth force of entrepreneurs creating successful businesses and generating jobs, trade, and overall financial wealth within their community.
What is a grant?
“A grant is a way the government funds your ideas and projects to provide public services and stimulate the economy. Grants support critical recovery initiatives, innovative research, and many other programs listed in the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA).” – Grants.gov
What is SBER?
SBER recognizes the need to invest in our small business community. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, many small businesses face a real prospect of permanently closing. We further recognize historic and current inequities when it comes to funding and supporting small businesses owned by people of color.
That is why, we launched the Small Business Equity and Recovery (SBER) grants aimed at supporting businesses owned by people who are part of a historically underrepresented group, including: low income populations, people of color, immigrants, women, veterans and LGBTQ+ individuals. SBERSonoma.com
